We are now in the year of mobile devices. Trends shows that more and more people will browse the Internet using their phone or mobile device instead of a regular computer. Although most companies that barter are not early adopters in terms of technology we started to see some changes in 2011.
As such, we have launched a prototype for a Mobile marketplace targeted at mobile devices with a decent screen. This should open a brand new set of possibilities for the barter industry where members are able to browse the Marketplace directly from their mobile phone.
Note that we also have a mobile interface to post transactions that works with most, if not all, mobile phones that support WAP. This interface is targeted at low-end phones. See this article for some screenshots.
where your members can perform all basic tasks:
- View and purchase products or services from other members
- Create a reservation for travel or accommodation.
- Post transactions
- List products or services (offered or wanted)
- Manage their profile (description, category of their business, login/password ..etc)
- View their statements and pay their fees

Right from your mobile phone with at least support for WAP you or your members can post transactions.
The interface is designed so that even with a small screen it can be used.
It also takes into account the small keyboard and with a minimum of typing your transaction will be posted.
For managers this interface allows to post transactions on behalf of any of their members.
